Culture Bus is a project designed to make culture more accessible across Curitiba, Brazil. Through two specially adapted buses—one serving as a mobile museum and the other as a performance stage—the project brings free exhibitions, performances, and cultural activities directly to neighborhoods, particularly those with limited access to traditional cultural spaces.

Bringing culture closer to people

Conceived as a cultural initiative beyond traditional museum walls, the project brings educational and artistic experiences directly into the city's neighborhoods. Two specially adapted buses offer complementary experiences: an interactive museum exploring Curitiba's history, identity, and urban landscape, and a mobile stage hosting performances and cultural activities in public spaces. The project creates opportunities for residents, particularly children, to engage with their city through playful, accessible, and participatory experiences.

A museum within a bus

The exhibition design transforms the limited interior of a bus into an immersive and engaging environment, combining spatial organization, visual storytelling, and interactive installations. Custom-designed exhibition elements, integrated graphics, and digital experiences guide visitors through different aspects of Curitiba's history, culture, and urban identity. The design balances the practical constraints of a mobile environment with the ambition of creating a playful, welcoming, and visually cohesive experience for visitors of different ages.
