The Polestar 4 digital experience explores the distinct characters of the coupé and SUV through a shared visual language and tailored scroll-driven narratives. Carefully choreographed CGI animations, refined visual storytelling and progressive reveals guide attention from the vehicles' common design identity to the features that define each variation, turning product exploration into a controlled, cinematic experience.
POLESTAR 4 COUPÉ AND SUV

The introduction of Polestar 4 SUV created an opportunity to rethink the existing Coupé experience and establish a coherent digital narrative for both vehicles. The challenge was to communicate two closely related products without reducing their differences to a list of specifications.
The experience begins with a shared visual sequence. A scroll-driven CGI animation introduces the vehicles through nearly identical movements before shifting attention toward the rear, where their defining characteristics become visible. Subtle graphic annotations and progressive reveals bring individual features into focus, using motion not simply to illustrate the product, but to determine how it is discovered.
From this common starting point, the narratives diverge. The Coupé sequence explores the relationship between its aerodynamic silhouette and unexpectedly generous interior, while the SUV shifts toward versatility, revealing its roof rails and expanding luggage capacity. Each animation is shaped around the character of the vehicle, allowing the same design framework to communicate two distinct propositions.
Across both pages, the art direction relies on restraint, precise composition and a high degree of CGI realism. Carefully controlled materials, reflections and lighting create continuity between the animated sequences and the real-world photography. Rather than presenting every feature simultaneously, the experience uses scrolling to establish rhythm, direct attention and introduce information at deliberate moments.
This approach extends beyond the main animations. An interactive colour selector pairs each exterior finish with a complementary background, turning a functional product interaction into a series of curated tonal compositions. The interior sections retain a consistent structure while using contrasting materials and colour palettes to give each variation a different atmosphere.
The result is a shared digital language that accommodates two distinct vehicle identities. Storytelling, motion and interaction become part of how the product is understood, balancing the clarity of a commercial product page with a more considered, editorial way of experiencing the car.
